The mission of the St. Philip Neri Youth Groups is to empower the young people of the parish to live out their Catholic faith in their daily lives and to use their gifts for service in the life of the Church and the community. We do this through building community at youth gatherings and social activities, prayer, reading the Bible, discussions, attending Mass and retreats, trainings, and service opportunities.
Middle School Youth Gatherings happen on the 2nd Friday of the month from 7-8:30 p.m.
High school Youth Gatherings happen on most 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month from 6-7:45 p.m.
Dates and events are communicated by email. Contact Hilary Bateman to sign up to receive updates.
ADULTS are needed for planning and/or chaperoning youth events. Must be STAND trained if not already. Contact Hilary Bateman
30 Hour Famine H.S. Lock-In
St. Philip Neri & St. Bernadette Youth will be participating in the
30 Hour Famine at St. Bernadette Parish
February 24 (6:30 PM) through February 25 (5:30 PM Mass).
The famine will be followed by a Family Covered Dish Dinner.
We will keep busy with fun service and educational activities during our fast.
The 30 Hour Famine is an international youth movement
to fight hunger throughout the world.
Youth (and adults!) raise pledges and then go without food for 30 hours
(we have plenty of water & mandatory juice breaks throughout the time!)
For every $30 raised, World Vision can feed & care for a child for a month!
We are asking each 30 Hour famine participant to raise a minimum of $100.

Peer Ministry
Have you been Confirmed?
Are you looking for a meaningful way to share your gifts?
Peer ministers are already Confirmed teens who take on a leadership role with those who are preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation. Peer ministers, under the guidance of adult leaders, will help to plan prayer services, skits, small group discussions, and fun activities. Those interested in becoming a peer minister should contact Miss Hilary. There will be training this summer for new peer ministers.
Scouts - cub scouts, boy scouts and girl scouts meet weekly to form youth in scouting principles that are integrated into Christian faith. Through meeting, camping trip and many fun activities the scouts learn how to grown in leadership skills, get along with others and serve.
Cub Scouts (ages 7-10) and Boy Scouts (ages 10-18) are prepared to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the scout oath and scout law. Cub Scouts meet on Wednesday evening, 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. from September to May. Boy Scouts meet on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. year round.
Girl Scouts is a place where girls can Discover who they are; Connect with adults and peers and gain the self-confidence to Take Action to fulfill their dreams. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. Girl Scout troops are available at St. Philip Neri for girls from Kindergarten through High School. Troops meet on a variety of days in the afternoon, as well as in the evening. Adult leadership positions and training are also available.
