Outreach

Social Outreach is a ministry that provides food, clothing, financial resources and referrals to those in need.  In addition, support is given to:

  • Our Daily Bread - an outreach to those in need of food in Baltimore City.  Volunteers from the Parish meet on the second Saturday morning of each month to make casseroles.
  • Ecumenical Outreach - As followers of Jesus Christ, all Christians are called to service. By our actions, we are responding to Our Lord's call to reach out to all those areas hit hard by disasters effecting the lives of many communities throughout the US in desperate need. We, at St. Philip Neri Church, have joined together with the local Linthicum Christian Churches to bring relief to those people whose hearts and homes are in needed repair. We address these needs not only with our hands but with a special spiritual support necessary to give strength and comfort that only Christ can give. Our team has traveled to Mississippi for the last four years working in areas effected by Hurricane Katrina. We have plans in the future to extend our services to other areas in need. Christ's love goes beyond all hardships by giving us the gift of eternal life through his suffering and resurrection. If anyone from St. Philip Neri Parish is interested in joining our team please contact the SPN Outreach Office or John Canterna.
  • Right to Life activities are coordinated under this ministry.  Please contact the Parish office for more information.
